According to a Survey conducted by us, it was established that the Literacy Rate of 3 major mandals of Visakhapatnam Agency Area, Araku, Ananthagiri and Dumbriguda is far below the Average Literacy Rate of the District. In this context, D SARADA TRUST is organizing various awareness campaigns among all the mandals spreading the importance of education among the villagers and especially among female children. D SARADA TRUST also established a school named Sarada Niketan on 05-06-2007, the only English Medium School running with State Syllabus in the entire Visakhapatnam Agency Area which was inaugurated by Sri K V Ramana, Ex Vice Chancellor of Andhra University. The school aims to increase the literacy rate, by providing quality education to the tribal and all other backward children at nominal fee. Teachers at Sarada Niketan personally interact with the parents of all the children and evaluate their progress quarterly. The school also conducts regular Medical Camps providing Free Health Checkups and Medicines to the needy children. Currently, Sarada Niketan is flourishing with 302 Children
